SOCHI, February 18 (R-Sport) — Long-standing rivals Canada and the United States will face each other in the Olympic women's hockey final for the fifth consecutive time in Sochi.
The only real powers in women's hockey reached the final match without meeting much resistance in Monday's semis.
Natalie Spooner scored twice to give three-time champion Canada a 3-1 win over Switzerland, playing in its first semifinal. Meanwhile, six different U.S. players scored in a 6-1 demolition of Sweden.
The finalists have already clashed in the group stage, when Canada prevailed in a 3-2 comeback win.
