MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) – Three Russian men were sentenced Wednesday for killing and robbing several gay men in Moscow.
Two of the perpetrators, Magomedkhan Megomedkhanov and Bakhmud Kaimarazov, were sentenced to 24 and 25 years in prison respectively. The third, Magomed Magomedov, was jailed for nine years.
The group met their victims online, via a website “for people with a non-traditional sexual orientation,” then visited them at their homes, where they killed and robbed them, prosecutors said in a statement.
At least three men were killed in the attacks, which occurred in March 2012. A fourth victim was knocked out but survived, prosecutors said.
