TBILISI, February 21 (RIA Novosti) – Georgia’s new prime minister, Irakli Garibashvili, said Thursday that he would head a delegation visiting the United States from Saturday, February 22, to March 1.
This will be the first stateside visit for Sorbonne graduate Garibashvili, 31, upon taking the post in November after the resignation of his predecessor and longtime employer, billionaire tycoon Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Garibashvili said his delegation would include economy minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Euro-Atlantic integration minister Alexi Petriashvili and foreign affairs minister Maia Panjikidze, among others.
