LONDON, February 21 (RIA Novosti) – The teenage daughter of a wealthy Russian businessman has been found dead at a London international school, the Evening Standard reported Thursday.
Police said 17-year-old Polina Artamonova, who was studying at Bellerbys College in Greenwich, was found dead on January 21.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Medics said she died of cardiac arrest, the paper reported, quoting anonymous sources as saying that the girl had taken drugs and drunk alcohol in the hours leading up to her death.
The Evening Standard quoted a friend of Artamonova as saying that she had been depressed over her relationship with a man.
This is the latest incident involving Russians at Bellerbys College, which charges boarders up to $58,000 a year. In 2011 four Russian students were jailed for the gang rape of a fellow student.
