MOSCOW, February 28 (RIA Novosti) – A former spokeswoman for Russia’s riot police has resigned after a video surfaced allegedly showing the woman and her husband assaulting a mother who was trying to push a baby carriage past them on a narrow sidewalk.

Colonel Zhanna Ozhimina worked for the Interior Ministry from 1993 until resigning earlier this month and even did a stint hosting a crime show on state television.

The video, recorded by a surveillance camera outside a Moscow apartment building in November, shows a female resembling Ozhimina aggressively shoving a woman with a baby carriage moments after her husband pushes her so hard that it knocks the woman to the ground.

The woman with the stroller was apparently trying to pass the couple as they were getting out of their luxury SUV.

A police spokesman told RIA Novosti that the video has been turned over to Moscow’s military investigative unit “for comprehensive study and objective evaluation.”

He said Ozhimina tendered her resignation on February 18.
