MOSCOW, March 7 (RIA Novosti) – Investigators in Russia said Friday that they have detained a man suspected of stealing alcohol in an armed assault on a cargo truck 19 years ago.
Officials said the alleged perpetrator worked with an organized group to hold up a truck near the Urals city of Perm in March 1995 and made off with its cargo of booze, which they said was at the time worth 110 million rubles.
Investigators did not mention the fate of the rest of the alcohol-nabbing crew in the statement.
