MOSCOW, April 7 (R-Sport) - The chief organizer of the Sochi 2014 Olympics, Dmitry Chernyshenko, said Monday he had landed a job as an advisor for the next Winter Games in South Korea.
Chernyshenko will advise the International Olympic Committee's coordinating commission for the Pyeongchang 2018 Games, but he said he had no plans to work in sports long-term.
“I’ll be an expert who will give them advice from Moscow, let’s say that,” he said.
“I think that I’ve successfully completed my activity in the field of sports and the international Olympic movement,” he added.
Chernyshenko said he was mulling over “several” employment offers, but that “so far, I have no personal plans” to work in sports.
The Sochi Olympics ran from February 7 through 23 and were the first Winter Olympics in Russia.
