MOSCOW, April 21 (RIA Novosti) - American company CITC-USA has filed a lawsuit in an Illinois court against RusAl and its controlled entities, registered in Guinea, alleging violations of their contractual obligations, according to court documents attained by RIA Novosti.

The company said it had signed a number of contracts for the supply of spare parts for equipment with RusAl subsidiaries at various times, including Rusal Friguia (Rusal F) and the West Indies Alumina Co. (WIAC).

CITC, which specializes in excavation equipment, claims to have fulfilled all of its obligations, while the deliveries went unpayed. The company argues Rusal intervened in the situation as the parent company, which has "common interests" with WIAC and Rusal F.

The American company demands damages from Rusal, estimated at over $450,000, as well as payment of other expenses.

Rusal PLC was formed in March 2007 through the merging of Russian Aluminum and Siberian-Urals Aluminum Company, with the alumina assets of the Swiss-based Glencore.

Oleg Deripaska is the Chairman of the Board and General Director of Rusal. Matthias Warnig is the Chairman of the Board of OK Rusal Directors, as well as independent non-executive director and the managing director of Nord Stream AG.

Rusal has assets in 13 countries on five continents.
