MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) – 2014 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix in Sochi is a unique project, which has a great future, Richard Cregan, CEO of Rasgaira and the consultant for Russian Grand Prix told Rossiya Segodnya news agency Friday.
"This is a very exciting day for me. Everything becomes real, when the ticket sales start. This is a big day for Sochi Grand Prix. I hope that the project is here to stay, it has a great future. A unique project taking place in Sochi will contribute to the development of Russian motorsport,” Cregan said in a press conference.
Russian Grand Prix international consultant noted that a lot of work needs to be done in order to conduct successful Formula One motor race.
“Our main goal is to create a commercially profitable business and we see perfect conditions for that in Sochi,” Russian Formula 1 consultant said.
“In terms of infrastructure, nothing of a kind has ever been done before,” he added.
The landmark event for Russian and international motorsport is due to be held at the Sochi Autodrom, the first and only circuit in Russia hosting Formula 1, on 12 October 2014.
The total of more than 45,000 tickets for all motorsport fans from around the world became officially available on the promoter’s web-site Friday, at 3 pm Moscow time (11:00 a.m. GMT) with prices starting from 5,000 rubles ($145).
