The Koktebel Jazz Festival, one of the most prominent cultural events in Crimea, will take place on September 12-15, 2014, in Koktebel on the Crimean Peninsula, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and the administration of the Crimean Federal District.
The Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, which is the organizer of the festival, has prepared another surprise for jazz lovers: the Koktebel Jazz Festival Pre-Party.
The event will feature a performance by a musical group that includes participants in the upcoming festival and whose names are known to all jazz lovers:
- Sergei Golovnya (tenor saxophone);
- Yakov Okun (grand piano);
- Pyotr Vostokov (trumpet);
- Vladimir Koltsov-Krutov (double bass);
- David Petrov (drums);
- Irina Rodiles (voice).
Rossiya Segodnya Director-General Dmitry Kiselev will greet the guests of the pre-party. The event will also be attended by representatives of sponsor organizations, the art directorate and the organizing committee of the Koktebel Jazz Festival.
Ten invitations for two will be given out as prizes in a contest on Facebook and VKontakte. The winners will be able to visit Koktebel Jazz Festival Pre-Party and talk to famous musicians and the festival's organizers.
