MOSCOW, July 7- RIA Novosti. Rossiya Segodnya will organize a photo display on "Beyond the Red Line". The project concerns the peaceful civilians caught in the armed conflict in Ukraine. The display will be available at the Central House of Journalists at 8A Nikitsky Blvd. in Moscow on July 10-25.
The photo project includes 50 exclusive images shot by Rossiya Segodnya photo correspondents in areas where the fighting is continuing in Ukraine - in cities and towns in southeastern Ukraine. The photo stories, which have never been published before, show a clear and truthful picture of people's suffering, of the trials brought upon them by this large-scale civil conflict.
"Our intention is to highlight the horrors of the fratricide that is unfolding in Ukraine. This is an anti-war project. We aim to stop the hostilities in Europe's geographical center," Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev said.
Photography is the most honest and unbiased source of information, one that is easy to understand by everyone around the world, without words. The photo display will bear evidence that people's torment, grief, bereavement and death as a result of air strikes, artillery fire or accidental shots are as tragic and unnatural as this civil war is pointless and abominable for the country and its people.
Visitors will be able to see what people in Donbas and the Donetsk and Lugansk regions see every day. There are no photographs of the warring sides' soldiers, or their equipment, or action - only the suffering of people whose lives it has touched - peaceful civilians and forced refugees.
The authorities in Kiev have been conducting a special military operation in eastern Ukraine since mid-April to suppress the local protest movement that emerged in response to the coup. The change of government sparked rallies among supporters of independence. The government launched a military operation against them, involving an air force, armored vehicles and heavy artillery. Moscow has condemned the operation as a punitive act that has led to numerous casualties on both sides, including among the civilian population, and has demanded that Kiev stop the operation immediately.
