FORTALEZA, July 14 (RIA Novosti) - In the framework of the 6th BRICS summit in Brazil’s Fortaleza, leaders of the member states’ business communities will discuss the new entrepreneurial projects, debate trade opportunities and new investments at the BRICS Business Forum held Monday.
The Business Forum has been initiated by Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI). The business meeting will see the discussion on economic integration, trade, integration perspectives among the block’s member-states. The representatives from the five countries will evaluate new entrepreneurial projects, exchange information on market outlook.
Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Storchak has arrived at the Events Center of Ceará, the venue of the event. The head of Russia’s BRICS business council Sergei Katyrin is expected to deliver his opening remarks later in the day. Rustem Khamitov, the head of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan that will host next year’s BRICS summit in Ufa will speak at the session entitled “Economic Integration: Challenges to Sustainable growth. Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) will speak at the Integration Perspective session. And Sergey Belyakov, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development will make closing remarks at the end of the day.
In 2013, at the summit in Durban, South Africa, the BRICS members launched the Business Council designed to strengthen business ties among the member states. The council provides a mechanism for regular meetings and exchange of ideas, facilitating business communities to deepen business partnership and explore new opportunities.
