MOSCOW, July 15 (RIA Novosti) – Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is launching three newswires in English. Specifically, these RIAN News Service wires will focus on Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries and the Baltic states.
Each newswire will report firsthand exclusive information on international events by Rossiya Segodnya’s own correspondents.
Rossiya Segodnya Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Director of News Dmitry Gornostayev said: “Thematic newswires in English will allow us to meet the varying requirements and interests of our clients. They can create their own package of information by selecting the focused wire, whether it’s events in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries or the Baltic states.”
The cost of each targeted newswire will be less than that of the general wire that covers all of the news in English.
RIAN News Service wires will produce at least 150 reports a day, around the clock, seven days a week. News reports will be provided either through the online news terminal or by email. Test access to the news wires will go live on July 15, 2014.
