KIEV, July 25 (RIA Novosti) – Ukraine’s court ruled Friday to suspend the broadcasting of four Russian channels, the press service of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine said.
The companies in question are RTR-Planeta, NTV-Mir, Russia-24 and TVC channel.
“There is a court ruling regarding the suspension of broadcasting of these companies,” the statement said adding that the content of the TV programs broadcasted by these companies does not comply with Ukrainian and European laws.
In March, Kiev’s regional administrative court temporarily halted the broadcasting of Russia’s Channel One, RTR Planeta, Rossiya 24, NTV-Mir.
Commenting on the ban, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the suspension of Russian channels in Ukraine would be a serious violation of international norms.
