MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) – Unidentified people started shooting in the US city of Chicago, as a result one person was killed and six injured, the Chicago Tribune reported on its website, citing local police.
The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. local time Friday (23:00 GMT). A 13-year-old died at the scene, shot in the head, according to a police spokesman of Veejay Zala.
Six wounded, including two teenagers aged 14 and 15, were taken to hospital. Two of the them are in critical condition.
Police are investigating the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that it was a drive-by shooting.
