MOSCOW, July 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russian researchers have devised unique monitoring technology for coal at port terminals, a ScanEx Research and Development Center representative told RIA Novosti.
“The technology provides comprehensive analysis of information about infrastructure and the surrounding area. The results of prompt spatial monitoring, instrumental analysis and other ground studies are uploaded to a Geoportal and thoroughly processed,” the representative said.
The technology allows coal extraction and transportation companies, as well as other organizations concerned with ecological monitoring, to have a better understanding of what impact their business is having on the environment. The research should preferably be conducted when the ground is covered with snow.
In order to see how strictly ecological regulations are observed, it is advised to use remote sensing data, comprehensive studies of pollution data and satellite data, and process them together.
