Debris of Russian Progress M-23M Drowned in Pacific Ocean

The unburned in dense atmosphere debris of cargo spacecraft Progress M-23M, which was undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on July 22, fell into the Pacific Ocean, a representative of the Federal Space Agency Roscosmos told RIA Novosti Friday.

MOSCOW, August 1 (RIA Novosti) – The unburned in dense atmosphere debris of cargo spacecraft Progress M-23M, which was undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on July 22, fell into the Pacific Ocean, a representative of the Federal Space Agency Roscosmos told RIA Novosti Friday.

“The splashdown of the unburned in dense atmosphere debris of the cargo spacecraft occurred at the estimated time,” the source said.

From July 22 to August 1 an experiment titled “Radar-Progress” connected to the studies by earth-based observatories on the light-reflecting capacity of plasma heterogeneities generated by propulsion systems in the ionosphere, was held on board the Progress.
