MOSCOW, August 2 (RIA Novosti) – The Russian government has approved and ordered the country’s Foreign Ministry to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the UN World Food Program; a corresponding document was published on the official web portal of legal information Saturday.
“To order the Russian Foreign Ministry on behalf of the Russian government to sign the agreement giving permission to introduce minor amendments to the bill,” the statement said.
According to the draft agreement, it will enter into force upon signature and remain valid until the end of 2017.
The World Food Program is the world’s largest humanitarian organization providing annually up to 4 million tons of food to countries affected by hunger.
