ASHULUK, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Air Force plans to carry out a new set of large-scale drill in 2015, Col. Gen. Viktor Bondarev told journalists Tuesday.
“We have included the preparation and carrying out of bilateral drills in our plans for the next year. This time the Second and Third Commands will take part in the exercises (the First and the Second Commands are participating in the current drills),” Bondarev announced.
Russia is holding air force exercises at the Ashuluk military range from August 4 to August 8. The drills were deemed a provocation by US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, even though Ashuluk is located almost 1,000 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.
