MOSCOW, August 11 (RIA Novosti) – Polish tennis player Agnieszka Radwanska jumped from No. 7 to No. 3 in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Road to Singapore singles rankings, according to the WTA’s official website.
On Sunday Radwanska won the Rogers Cup tournament in Montreal, Canada, beating Venus Williams 6-4, 6-2 in a little over 80 minutes. The current WTA leader, Russia’s Maria Sharapova, reached the tournament’s third round, where she lost to Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain.
Russia’s Ekaterina Makarova moved up two places, from No. 17 to No. 15, after having lost to Radwanska in the semifinal.
