BERLIN, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - The foreign ministers of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine have finished the talks on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict in Berlin, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported late on Sunday.
The ministers left the Villa Borsig hotel after an almost five-hour meeting.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is expected to give a speech soon. Earlier he said that the ministers gathered in Berlin in order "to try to make steps towards a ceasefire."
This is the second time the four countries have held negotiations on the situation in Ukraine in this format. On July 2, Sergei Lavrov, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Francois Hollande and Pavlo Klimkin met in Berlin. Following the results of the two-hour negotiations, the four came up with a joint declaration strongly reconfirming their commitment to sustainable peace and stability in Ukraine.
