MOSCOW, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russia’s Rosalia Nasretdinova broke the world junior record in the 50m butterfly during the Second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.
Nasretdinova covered the distance in 26.26 seconds which is 0.06 seconds less than the previous world junior record. Swiss Svenja Stoffel came in second (26.62 seconds) and Slovenia’s Nastja Govejsek came in third (26.70 seconds).
On Sunday, Russia’s Anton Chulkov set another world junior record during the 100m breaststroke qualification round – 1 minute 0.84 seconds.
