MOSCOW, August 22 (RIA Novosti) – Consulate General of Russia in Seattle is in the process of checking the available information and determining the whereabouts of a Russian student missing in Wyoming, Andrei Yushmanov, Consul General of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti on Thursday.
"His mother contacted us and provided us with the contacts of his employer and the police. Now we are literally in the process of it," Yushmanov said.
"We are in contact with the local police, trying to get the official information and learn what is being done for the search process."
Aleksandr Sagiev, a 23-year-old college student from Russia, was reported missing on Monday when he failed to show up at his work place in the deli of the grocery store at Dornan's resort.
Searchers used dogs and boats along the Snake River but did not find any trace. The search area was expanded on Thursday.
According to the media reports, the US authorities have few clues to go on.
