MOSCOW, August 22 (RIA Novosti) - The Dutch forensic experts have identified another 46 victims of the Malaysian Boeing 777 crash, so that the total of 173 victims has been identified, Agence France-Presse reported citing the Dutch justice ministry.
“Among the 46 victims, 26 were of Dutch nationality," AFP quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
The statement added that the relatives of victims have been informed.
Flight MH17 crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17. All 298 people on board, including 283 passengers and 15 crew members, died in the crash. Their remains were sent to the Netherlands for identification.
Ukrainian authorities claim independence supporters shot down the plane, but the latter say they do not have the means to hit a target flying that high.
