KIEV, August 24 (RIA Novosti) – At least 127 settlements and a number of factories in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk Region remain without electricity supply, DTEK energy company reported Sunday.
“In Donetsk Region, 127 settlements remain without power, completely or partially,” the company said.
Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works, Yenakiieve Coke and Chemicals Plant, Yasinovsky Coke and Chemicals Plant and Zuyev Energy-Mechanical Plant also have no power.
Since mid-April, Kiev authorities have been conducting a special military operation in the east of Ukraine to crack down on independence supporters that refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the new government.
