DUBAI, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - Authorities’ of the United Arab Emirates have introduced emergency entry permits allowing travelers to stay in the country for up to four days and cost $27, Al Khaleej newspaper reported Sunday, adding that requirements for other types of visas have been facilitated as well.
"Entry permits for studies or treatment have not been changed, but have been amended. These are now valid for multiple entry,” the newspaper quoted UAE Ministry of Interior Brigadier Dr. Rashid Sultan Khodr as saying.
According to Al Khaleej, travelers on an airline sponsorship will be eligible for an emergency entry permit valid for four days. The permit will be granted to travelers in emergency cases at air terminals, including when a traveler is sick or a flight is cancelled.
The move is part of the country’s attempt to facilitate medical tourism and facilitate the quick and easy movement of beneficiaries.
