MOSCOW, August 25 (RIA Novosti) - Tiger Woods is parting ways with his swing coach Sean Foley after a string of injuries and no Major wins, he said on his website Monday.

"I'd like to thank Sean for his help as my coach and for his friendship," Woods said on a statement on his website."Sean is one of the outstanding coaches in golf today, and I know he will continue to be successful with the players working with him. With my next tournament not until my World Challenge event at Isleworth in Orlando, this is the right time to end our professional relationship."

Woods and Foley started their relationship in 2011 after Tiger had been enduring a difficult streak. Foley reworked Tiger’s swing and in 2012 and 13 he was able to win a total of 8 tournaments and be named PGS Tour Player of the Year in 2013. However, despite the success, Tiger was still unable to win a Major during his time with Foley. Criticism of Foley started to build in 2014 when Tiger was sidelined with several back problems.

"Presently, I do not have a coach, and there is no timetable for hiring one," Tiger remarked about his coaching status.
