VLADIVOSTOK, September 2 (RIA Novosti) – Narcotics police have found about 290 pounds of marijuana and 20 gallons of hashish oil in an abandoned farm in Russia’s Primorsky Territory, the regional Federal Drug Controld Service reported.
"As part of the "Operation Mak-2014," the investigators have found a cache on the territory of an abandoned farm in one of the villages in the Oktyabrsky district. The cache contained about 290 pounds of marijuana and 20 gallons of organic solvent with a narcotic drug, a hashish oil ready for marketing. The owners of the drugs have already been identified, they are an Ussuriysk citizen and two local residents," the police said in a statement.
The actions of these people fall under the article of the Criminal Code, which is "Illegal possession of drugs on a large scale." The punishment is up to 10 years in prison. Pre-investigation check is currently underway.
