MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) – Iranian law enforcement agencies have detained a Ukrainian citizen, who is suspected of sabotage on the country's only nuclear power plant in Bushehr, the Associated Press reported Sunday.
The so-called "Ukrainian expert" infiltrated Busher being affiliated with a Russian contractor. The report did not specify the time of the incident and the role of the Russian worker in this case.
Iran has previously accused the United States and Israel that their intelligence agencies are working to sabotage Iran's nuclear program, suspecting it may have military application, the agency said.
Tehran has repeatedly stressed that the country's nuclear program is intended solely for peaceful purposes.
