VIENNA, September 8 (RIA Novosti) — Participants of the Contact Group on Ukrainian settlement will hold a video linkup Monday, a Swiss diplomat said.
Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger said envoys of Russia, the OSCE and the Kiev government will discuss issues of humanitarian corridors and prisoner exchange with the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Greminger praised the ceasefire in Ukraine that has recently entered into force, although adding that it has been “shaky.”
Representatives from Ukraine, Russia and OSCE agreed to a ceasefire between Kiev and independence supporters during the September 5 meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine in Minsk. The ceasefire started at 15:00 GMT the same day.
The sides also agreed to allow international monitoring of the truce’s implementation, to conduct the “all for all” prisoner exchange and to ensure humanitarian aid access to combat zones.
On Sunday, both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire, with independence fighters and Kiev forces claiming pleading innocent.
