MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti) – The United States supports Nazi-like Kiev regime as it is the only anti-Russian force that exists in Ukraine, director of the Moscow-based Institute of Globalization Studies said Monday.

“The US supports them out of need, simply because they are the only existing anti-Russian, Russophobic force that exists in Ukraine. It's understood that had Hitler attacked Russia today, they would give him their complete support,” Mikhail Delyagin said at the World Russia Forum 2014.

“I don't think [Barack] Obama or [Angela] Merkel, and other respected individuals will like Nazism... Let me remind you that both the rhetoric and the actions of Kiev are Nazi-like. Most likely, they organized the coup in Kiev and brought the Nazis to power and support their terror, not because they become esthetically pleased contemplating the pre-death tortures on video,” he said.

Delyagin also said the artillery shelling of Ukraine’s territory with the killing of peaceful civilians does not evoke any protest from the US. “They tell us we are the aggressors. We conclude that the United States doesn’t need facts, because Russia is always guilty of everything. We feel as if we were Serbs at the time Yugoslavia was destroyed.”

“We are in the same position as we were in August 2008, and the following months, when [Former Georgian President Mikhail] Saakashvili, relying on the full support from the West, tried to continue the genocide of south Ossetians. We were responsible for this [in their eyes] and we're were the aggressors,” he said.

“We are not considered people, human rights are not for us,” Delyagin added.

Ukraine has been engulfed in violent internal conflict since mid-April, when Kiev began its military operation against independence supporters in the southeastern regions of the country.

According to United Nations’ estimates, over 2,500 people have been killed and more than 6,000 wounded since the start of the offensive.
