MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) – Russia is prepared for the joint athletes training with Japanese colleagues for the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo, the Russian Olympic Committee President Alexander Zhukov said on Wednesday.
“We are ready to share not only the experience of holding the Games, but the joint training of athletes, where Russia has the foremost experience and the leading athletes. We have a lot of sports like this, such as synchronized swimming. Russia and Japan are countries fond of sport where sport is loved and with a lot of outstanding athletes,” Zhukov said at the Russian-Japanese forum in Moscow.
Tokyo was chosen as the capital of the Summer Olympics in 2020 at the IOC session in September 2013. The games will be held from July 24 to August 9, 2020, and the Paralympic Games - from August 25 to September 6.
