KOKTEBEL, September 12 (RIA Novosti), Nadezhda Kulikova – The whole world needs honesty in relation to Russia and Crimea, the head of Rossiya Segodnya News Agency Dmitry Kiselev said Friday at the opening ceremony of the Koktebel Jazz Party in Crimea.
“Crimea is demonstrating new energy and we want to introduce even more energy, the energy of jazz. I hope you all can feel it. Jazz is a very honest music … I think it is what the whole world needs regarding Crimea and Russia. And that is our main message,” Kiselev said.
The head of Rossiya Segodnya also acknowledged the significance of the event.
“I think that this major international cultural event in Crimea, the first major international project in Crimea since its reunification with Russia is very important for all of us. And I am glad to welcome performers from different continents - Latin America, North America, from eastern and western Europe and Asia,” Kiselev said.
The Koktebel Jazz Party is an international festival organized by Rossiya Segodnya Information Agency in conjunction with Russia’s Ministry of Culture. Hosted by Koktebel, one of the most popular resort towns in Crimea, on September 12-15, the festival unites music lovers and big names in jazz music from all over the world.
