Russia's Natalya Yarygina is elected Vice President of the United World Wrestling (UWW), an international wrestling federation, the member of the organization's Bureau Akhrol Ruziyev told R-Sport news agency on Sunday.

TASHKENT, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Natalya Yarygina is elected Vice President of the United World Wrestling (UWW), an international wrestling federation, the member of the organization's Bureau Akhrol Ruziyev told R-Sport news agency on Sunday.

"On the meeting of the United World Wrestling's Bureau, Natalya Yarygina was elected Vice President of our organization. And I have been elected to the similar position of Vice President from the national federations of Asia. The former Vice President Tomiaki Fukuda has left his post and as I occupy my position in the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles [previous name of UWW] the longest, my colleagues decided to support me," said Ruziyev. He has thanked his colleagues for trust and support.

United World Wrestling, formerly known as the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) is an international wrestling federation formed in 1912, holding events around the world. The main event of UWW is the Wrestling World Championship. The current UWW Championship is taking place September7-14 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
