MOSCOW, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - The Ukrainian Party of Regions has decided to create a shadow government, according to an announcement on its official website on Sunday.
"The Political council of the Party of Regions has decided to organize an opposition government which will hold its first meeting on September 18 to show Ukrainians a model of the future of Ukraine," the statement on the website says.
The deputy head of the Party of Regions Mykhailo Chechetov told RIA Novosti that the political party does not intend to participate in the early elections to the country's parliament, Verkhovna Rada, scheduled for October 26th.
On August 27, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree, dissolving the country's parliament and setting new elections for October 26.
