MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian tennis player Ekaterina Makarova has moved up to 14th place in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles ranking and Maria Sharapova has kept her fourth place, the WTA reported on its official website Monday.
Makarova and Sharapova did not compete last week. American Venus Williams, who had reached the final of the Quebec City tournament, moved to the 18th place in the rankings, and the winner, Mirjana Lucic-Baroni, climbed from 80th place to 56th.
There were no changes in the top 10.
