MOSCOW, September 18 (R-Sport) – Russian Maria Kirilenko has made it to the quarterfinals of the WTA Seoul tournament; winners will be rewarded a $500,000 Prize Money pool.
On Thursday, the Russian tennis player secured a narrow win over third seeded Czech Klara Koukalova in a three-set match of the second round 6:7 (4:7), 6:4, 6:0. The match lasted for 2 hours and 6 minutes.
Kirilenko is set to face the winner of the match between the 6th seeded Estonian Kaia Kanepi and Czech Kristyna Pliskova.
