DONETSK, September 20 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian security forces and Donetsk People's Republic militia are getting ready for a prisoner swap, where each side is expected to transfer some 40 detainees.
A convoy carrying prisoners, OSCE representatives and reporters is currently being formed in the outskirts of Donetsk. The convoy will proceed to an agreed-on location, where the prisoner exchange will take place.
The swap was previously scheduled for September 18 but was not carried out, as the DNR committee on prisoner exchange had not received a confirmation from Kiev at that point.
The most recent prisoner exchange between Ukrainian security forces and DPR militia took place on September 14, about 30 kilometers (18.5 miles) north of Donetsk. Each side handed over 73 prisoners.
