The new Dyugon-class (Project 21820) landing craft, Denis Davydov, built by Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant, has completed its sea trials at the Baltic Fleet sea ranges in the Kaliningrad Region.
The new vessel possesses unique characteristics and has no analogues in the world.

The new vessel possesses unique characteristics and has no analogues in the world.
This new type of landing craft is designed for rapid transportation and deployment on unimproved shores of personnel and wheeled and tracked vehicles.
The vessel's high speed is achieved by a combination of air cavern in its bilge and powerful M507A-2D diesel engines.
The vessel can transport up to 3 main battle tanks or up to 5 armored personnel carriers (APC).

The vessel could be deployed in stormy weather conditions with wave height up to 3,5 meters.

The new craft has a tonnage of 280 tons, flank speed of 35 knots, is 45 meters in length, 8,5 meters wide, has a maximum load capacity of 140 tons and a maximum range of 500 nautical miles.
The lead ship of the project, the Ataman Platov, was commissioned in 2006.
