MOSCOW, September 24 (RIA Novosti) - The leader of the al-Qaeda-linked "Khorasan" group was killed in the bombardment of Syrian city Idlib, Al-Arabiya reported Wednesday.
American military men have reported that the leader and his wife were killed when Idlib, a city in northwest Syria, was bombarded on Tuesday.
The US-led coalition performed the first series of airstrikes targeting Islamic State positions in Syria on Tuesday, which reportedly continued on Wednesday. The Khorasan group, which is considered to have close links with al-Qaeda terrorist group and suspected of planning acts of violence against the Western countries, was also targeted.
