DONETSK, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - A prisoner swap between the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Kiev is scheduled for 17.00 Moscow time (13:00 GMT) on Sunday, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic's committee on prisoner exchange Daria Morozova told RIA Novosti.
"We have agreed that the exchange will take place today at four o'clock (13:00 GMT)," Morozov told RIA Novosti.
The head of the committee said that the parties plan to exchange the remaining 30 prisoners.
The swap is an agreement outlined during the September 5 meeting of the trilateral Contact Group comprised of representatives from Russia, Ukraine, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Minsk. The meeting discussing the situation on Ukraine resulted in a series of agreements between the Ukrainian government and the self-proclaimed people's republics of Luhansk and Donetsk including an "all-for-all" prisoner exchange, additional humanitarian convoys from Russia to eastern Ukraine, and a ceasefire which began the same day of the meeting.
On September 19 the Contact Group met again in the Belarusian capital and formulated a memorandum outlining nine provisions to regulate the implementation of a bilateral ceasefire between Kiev and independence supporters in eastern Ukraine.
Excluding today's planned prisoner swap, there have been four prisoner exchanges between Kiev authorities and independence supporters since September 5 which have resulted in the exchange of 37, 70, 38, and 28 prisoners respectively.
