MOSCOW, September 29 (RIA Novosti) - An unidentified person threw a Molotov cocktail at Berlin’s Reichstag building that hosts federal parliament of Germany early on Monday, AP reports citing local police.
The assailant hurled the bottle at the side entrance of the Reichstag facing the Tiergarten. Although it broke into flames, they went out quickly. Nobody was injured in the incident; no damage has been done to the building.
Law enforcement officers were unable to detain the attacker, who fled the scene. He left a note titled “The starting point of violence is the ignorance of rulers”, the Bild reports. Police allege that the attack was politically motivated.
