MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) - A female police officer was among those injured in the suicide bombing in Grozny on Sunday evening, a spokesperson for the republic's Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee told RIA Novosti.
"Among those, who were injured was a female police officer, who is currently at City Hospital №9," the spokesperson said.
He added that female police officers take part in security measures during big events, frisking women.
On Sunday evening, a concert was scheduled to celebrate City Day in Grozny. At the entrance to the concert hall, the police officers noticed a suspicious young man. As they tried to inspect him and establish his identity, the man exploded himself.
Later, Russia's Investigative Committee stated that the perpetrator of the bombing was the 19-year-old local resident Apti Mudarov.
