NEW YORK, October 7 (RIA Novosti) – A young US designer Julius Kasinskis has presented his collection, called Peacemaker, in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the New York City on Tuesday.
The collection features several designs of T-shirts with printed portraits of the Russian president and calls for peace.
Kasinskis said his goal is to educate society and show the positive features of Vladimir Putin, as opposed to an aggressive rhetoric against him in the Western press. The designer also said he was inspired by the events in Crimea and Ukraine, as well by Russia's stance regarding Syria. Kasinskis said that, in his opinion, Putin can influence US President Barack Obama and the Western countries to keep them from aggressive actions in Syria.
Several thousand T-Shirts with six different designs will be put on display in New York within two weeks, Kasinskis said.
On Tuesday, October 7, Russia's president celebrates his 62nd birthday. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the president took the day off and flew "over to Siberia, to the Siberian taiga, 300 to 400 kilometers away from the nearest town or village, where he will relax on his birthday."
