MOSCOW, October 11 (RIA Novosti) - At least 15 people have been killed and 44 have been injured in the third terrorist act in the Shiite district of Baghdad on Saturday, Reuters reported.
According to the agency, which cited local police and medics, the explosion occurred on a busy street in the Shaoula neighborhood.
Previously, it was reported that at least 19 people were killed and more than 25 were injured in the two car blasts on Saturday in the busy areas of Baghdad. Both cars were blown up by suicide bombers.
It was also reported that a terrorist attack was committed by a suicide bomber at a market in the rural outskirts of Baghdad. The explosion claimed the lives of 11 people, more than 20 wounded.
The situation in Iraq remains unstable as the country is currently fighting the Islamic State, a radical Sunni group, which has been fighting the Syrian government since 2012 and extended its attacks to northern and western Iraq in June 2014.
