MANAMA, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - Bahrain has invited Russia to take part in a conference on battling terrorist funding, which will be held on November 5, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
"The Kingdom of Bahrain has sent an invitation to the Russian Federation to appoint a representative to take part in the conference," the Foreign Ministry said.
As well as Russia, Bahrain has invited the 29 other countries that took part in an international conference in Paris on Iraqi security back in September.
The Ministry highlighted that the main aim of November conference is to adopt an action plan, specifying steps on fighting the funding of terrorism.
"Stopping the financial stream intake by terrorist organizations in the region is currently a priority task of the international community, taking into account unprecedented growth in the number of terrorist organizations in the region and the threat, which they pose to all countries in the region and outside of it," the Bahraini Foreign Ministry said.
