MOSCOW, October 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Monday will hold consultations on foreign investment in energy and other key sectors of the Russian economy, the Kremlin said Sunday.

"On October 20, D.A. Medvedev will preside over a meeting… that will look into issues of investment cooperation and development in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications and food sectors, as well as the spheres, dealing with natural resources and trade, energy markets and energy-saving technologies," the statement said.

The meeting will be convened within the framework of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC). Deputy Prime Ministers Igor Shuvalov and Arkady Dvorkovich, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev, Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov are expected to attend.

FIAC was established in 1994 by the Russian government and foreign businesses to improve the investment climate in the country. It serves as a platform for direct dialogue between the Kremlin and chief executives of investor companies.
