NEW DELHI, October 22 (RIA Novosti) – Parents of children studying in a school in the Indian city of Bangalore, where a 3-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted, are accusing the school of not handling the allegations properly and are demanding an investigation into the case, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Wednesday.

"We are not satisfied. We want some concrete answers but the school management is not providing them. We hope the police will do justice but so far there is no arrest," said Neha, one of the protesters who have been rallying at Orchid School since Wednesday morning demanding a meeting with the school's management.

The case came to light when the girl told her mother that she had been abused by her teacher. The mother of the child filed a complaint with the police, while the girl has been admitted to a hospital.

Police have registered a case under Protection of Children From Sexual Offenses Act and Rape (Act 376).

Bangalore's Additional Police Commissioner Sarah Fatima visited the school Wednesday to investigate the matter. Bangalore Police Commissioner MN Reddy has also visited the school. So far no one has been arrested in connection with the case.

Police are examining CCTV footage of the school premises and are questioning the school's members of staff.

It is the third incident of sexual abuse of school children in the past four months in the city of Bangalore, located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau. Bangalore is known as the "Silicon Valley of India" because of its role as the nation's leading information technology exporter.
