BAGHDAD , October 22 (RIA Novosti) - Two explosions took place on Wednesday evening in Baghdad, Iraq, killing 30 and injuring 70 people.
Referring to police records, the Baghdad radio station Safak-FM stated that a car bomb burst near a hospital in the Shiite district Madinat-al-Sadr west of Baghdad, killing 10 and injuring 35 people.
The second explosion took place in the central part of Karrada. A car, filled with explosives, blew up into the sky. Twenty people were killed and another 40 were injured as a result of the explosion.
