MOSCOW, October 23 (RIA Novosti) – The deciphering of black boxes of a French jet that crashed at Moscow's Vnukovo airport on Monday night is over and the data is intact, a French expert who took part in the investigation told RIA Novosti Thursday.
"The deciphering of the black boxes is over," Francois Hochart said.
"The information stored in these black boxes is intact. We were able to extract all data," Hochart added.
A Falcon 50 business jet departing for Paris crashed at Moscow's Vnukovo-3 Airport after hitting a snowplow during takeoff. None of the four people on board - CEO of a major French oil and gas giant Total, Christophe de Margerie, and three crew members - survived the crash.
According to Russia's Investigative Committee, the crash was most likely caused by a mistake on the part of the traffic control or the snowplow driver.
The general director of Moscow's Vnukovo Airport and his deputy resigned following the crash. Several airport managerial employees were dismissed.
Four Vnukovo Airport employees have been arrested as suspects in connection with the crash. According to investigators, the suspects might have failed to observe flight security requirements as well as conduct ground checks – mistakes which could have caused the crash.
